Four stationery stores to help turn your WFH setup into #goals
Let’s be real, working from home is probably going to be a permanent addition to our ‘normal’ working lives (whatever that is) from this point onwards, so why not make your WFH desk look good!? While there’s no official studies that have proven the positive effect a well styled home office, there’s no doubt you’ll be more productive if you’re surrounded by trendy stationery and décor.
Since you’re working from home, you’re probably also doing most of your shopping online (no judgement here) so we’ve rounded up four online stores for all your stationery and WFH desk décor that will have you clicking add to cart, fast.
Milligram
While the experience of walking into a Milligram store is like no other, with their calming, earthy essential oils and perfectly organised shelves, their online store is packed with the best brands of diaries, pens, desk accessories and even gifts like mugs, candles and tea. Whether you’re after the sleek, minimalist look of Moleskin, or you’re looking for the bright and eclectic look of Rifle Paper Co., there’s something for everyone at Milligram, and they’ve left no stone unturned when it comes to working from home in style.
If you’ve got a bit of cash to splash, treat yourself to a LAMY pen for a deliciously smooth writing experience, or maybe try recreating the Milligram store mood with an essential oil or candle.
Honest Paper
Honest Paper is a local stationery brand run by two women in Newcastle, Bella and Gabi. Their brand ethos is to curate and create fine stationery with a focus on Australian designers, and they’ve really hit the nail on the head. Honest Paper is the go-to place for florals and anything soft pink, stocking brands like Fox and Fallow and Bespoke Letterpress, as well as their own brand, Honest Paper Studio. They also have a beautiful selection of cards, wrapping paper and gifts that covers all occasions. Bliss.
Scratch and Jotter
If you like crispy white tones and clean lines, scratch and jotter is the place for you. This minimalist-chic brand has all your monochrome needs for peak productivity, stocking cult global favourites like Kartotek, Midori and An Organised Life. They also offer a monogramming service for a range of their diaries and planners, which is absolute office goals if you ask me.
Design Stuff
I’m almost ashamed to admit the amount of money I’ve spent at Design Stuff…but hey, I do it for the immaculate vibes. Design Stuff is the I-just-got-my-tax-return-back version of Ikea, boasting brands that are quintessential contemporary Nordic style and expression, like Hay, Normann Copenhagen and Ferm.
They are definitely the place to go if you want to take your stationery and home décor game to the next level, with literally hundreds of desk accessories, luxury tech and home décor products. My personal favourites are the HAY shade bins, Ferm LIVING desk organisers and ZONE DENMARK trays.
